METRO CENTRE GATESHEAD BOWLING ALLEY, NAMCO

With creative thinking, superb knowledge and precise handling of materials, the Inscape team has provided a stunning finish for a lively bowling alley in Metro Centre, Gateshead.
Inscape were involved in recommending materials and advice on shaping for the contractors. The use of both translucent and gloss membranes achieved the vibrant atmosphere that was desired.
We installed modular floating curved panels above the bowling lanes, and square panels above the seating area. All panels were individually made to measure and numbered for easy maintenance and renewal, and create an exciting effect that adds value and originality to the space.
Our team are very experienced in working with a variety of materials and navigating the challenges they bring to the installation of stretch ceilings. The orange gloss square panels above the seating area were installed with a light structure that incorporated already existing fire sprinklers and lights. The membranes were specifically made to fit around the protruding lights, again creating a multi-dimensional visual effect. The ability to shape stretch ceilings into any space shows the versatility of these ceilings and the craftsmanship of our team.
We were also involved in installing translucent membranes over LED lighting with a changing colour effect above the gaming area of the bowling alley creating a lit walkway for a modern and engaging experience.
This project is a perfect example of the expertise, skill and commitment which Inscape apply to all their work, and the use of stretch ceilings and panels in this area shows the enormous potential for stretch ceilings to create a unique and stimulating atmosphere in any venue.
